In our medical practice, we put emphasis on a professional attitude. Since our work is our pride, each patient is given our full attention. We draw on our experience gained not only during a number of internships and courses in Poland abroad, but also through our everyday practice. We employ primarily the newest two- and three-dimensional imaging techniques as our diagnostic tools. We are the founders of MWU- Ultrasound Courses. During our workshops, specialists improve their skills in ultrasound through theory and practice. Among others we cooperate with Roztoczanska School of Ultrasound regarding tree-dimensional ultrasound, with NVU-Constanta School, and Innovamedi School from Lviv regarding OB/GYN ultrasound among other schools. As lecturers, we are invited to a lot of countries in Europe and other continents. We are members of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ISUOG) as well as the International Prenatal Screening Group. We hold certificates of Polish Ultrasound Society in obstetrics, gynecology, and prenatal diagnostics, as well as Fetal Medicine Foundation in the first trimester screening and invasive procedures, and a certificate of International Ovarian Tumor Analysis (IOTA) group. Lesser Poland neonatologists, pediatricians, surgeons, neurosurgeons, pediatric cardiac surgeons, urologists, gynecologists as well as patients themselves may confirm the quality of our work. Postnatal verification is the most valuable assessment of our work. It cannot be replaced by any certificates. Our website was created to inform, not to make an offer.
Founders
We are the only centre of OB-GYN ultrasound in Krakow, which was founded by longtime teachers of international renown in this field. Our school is visited by ab. 800 physicians each year. We cooperate with significant educational centres in Poland and abroad. Dr. Marcin Wiecheć is the only Polish specialist on the list of International Faculty Members of the International Society of Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Our team
All our specialists hold appropriate qualifications and certificates in ultrasound, which confirm their skills. We work in a team, and we have to admit that there are less experienced specialists among us. Nevertheless, it does not belittle their qualifications, and the comfort of working together gives them an opportunity to ask for our consultation and adequate support, as well as it provides you with the service of the highest standard at the same time. We hope you understand that not all examinations will be conducted by two specialists, however, we can assure you that every questionable case is verified at our centre. If we decide that there is a need for an additional consultation, we do not charge for it. All anomalies diagnosed at our centre are discussed together. It improves our qualifications every day.

Prof. Jacek Kołcz MD, PhD – a cardiac surgeon of congenital heart defects, Prof. Stanisław Kwiatkowski – a pediatric neurosurgeon, and to Dr. Olga Milczarek MD, PhD – pediatric neurologist.

In cooperation with GRID company as well as a cardiac surgeon Assoc. Prof. Jacek Kolcz MD, PhD from the Jagiellonian University, we introduced 3D fetal heart models: of normal and affected by congenital anomalies for educational purposes. It is the first project of this kind in the world, based on layered method similar to images shown during ultrasound fetal cardiac scan. The project has a great educational value for OB/GYN physicians in scope of detecting cardiac defects, physicians completing medical specialty and medical students. Additionally, our models can serve as a useful tool while consulting pregnant patients whose babies are diagnosed with congenital heart defects. Certainly, the models will also be used by cariologists and cardiac surgeons.

Research
We are not only reliable specialists in our field, but we also conduct a scientific research, which aims to improve ultrasound diagnostic performance in obstetrics and gynecology (read more). For instance, we are the first to study ultrasound diagnostic performance based on a lot of parameters in order to detect the Down syndrome, the Edwards’ syndrome and the Turner syndrome; we also described the coincidence of ultrasound markers for most common genetic syndromes; in addition, we compared the performance of a standard strategy in the first trimester offered in centres which have a contract with the National Health Fund with an ultrasound strategy offered by us; we also worked up most common models of fetal heart defects in the first trimester, moreover, we described a method of examination towards the agenesis of corpus callosum, we analyzed methods of the assessment of endometrial carcer inavasion and proposed our own method.
